With Redlin Arts Center as the backdrop, Triple Threat Tour 2010 made a stop in Watertown, SD as part of the facility’s 7th Annual Summer Celebration. The tradition began in 2004 and, since then, each August, thousands of visitors have enjoyed concerts by such notables as Lee Greenwood, Ronnie Milsap and Sawyer Brown along with the fireworks display that closes the evening’s entertainment. This year’s audience for the Triple Threat performance was estimated at 12,000.
Terry Redlin is one of the country’s most widely collected painters of wildlife and Americana. The out-of-doors themes in his artwork can be traced to his childhood and the priceless works of this award-winning artist are now housed in the museum on the grounds, designed by Redlin’s son, Charles. The facility opened to the public in 1997 and has welcomed over 2 million visitors since.
