Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee will be hosting their annual Spring for Kids – Dinner, Silent Auction & Youth of the Year Presentation on Tuesday, April 12th, at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN. Attendees will be entertained throughout the evening with a diverse celebrity line-up including Football Legend, Archie Manning and four-time Grammy Nominees, Restless Heart.

The host for the evening will be Andrew Jackson Club Member and MBA Freshman, Rasha Harvey. Tennessee Titan Tank Williams, will present the Middle Tennessee Youth of the Year Award. This select individual will be honored with a Personal Computer and College Scholarship.

Country and Adult Contemporary recording group, Restless Heart, will take the stage to entertain guests with their hits, “When She Cries”, “Bluest Eyes in Texas”, “I’ll Still be Loving You” and More. From 1985 to 1994 the group dominated the charts and is back after a ten-year hiatus with their new studio album, Still Restless.

Nashville Metro Trustee, Charlie Cardwell, will receive special honors as the recipient of the Boys & Girls Clubs Lifetime Achievement Award. Charlie was one of the original members of the Thompson Lane Boys & Girls Club. He has served as a Board Member for over a decade, improving the well-being of youth in Middle Tennessee.

All-American Quarterback, Archie Manning, will round out the evening as the keynote speaker. His appeal transcends his athletic achievements and has inspired many with his drive, warm personality and dynamic sense of humor. Manning’s dedication to public service has landed him numerous awards including the Byron “Whizzer” White & Bart Starr Humanitarian Awards.

Finally, The Zone’s, George Plaster, will conclude the evening hosting a Question & Answer with Archie. In a special ceremony, Archie Manning, and Restless Heart will be presented with an honorary life-time membership in the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Spring for Kids is the primary fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee and is a time for celebration as the Clubs complete the 102nd year of service to the community. Teens from the local Clubs will greet attendees and the silent auction will be of particular interest to the guests. Available for bid are such items as roundtrip airfare, autographed guitars, LPGA and other golf packages and a number of personal, social and entertainment items.

The Spring for Kids Dinner is open to the public with tables available for purchase. Both local and national corporations sponsor this event, including AmSouth Bank, Doane Pet Care, Taco Bell, UnitedHealthCare, Care All Home Care, Kroger, Caterpillar, Cracker Barrel, Joe Hall Strategies, W.L. Hall, Dollar General, Southeast Venture, Union Planters/Regions, Morgan Stanley, Ingram Industries and Accent Media/Jive Printing. Expected to gross over $200,000, the Annual Dinner has become the organizations largest, and most exciting, event.

Tickets for the event are $175 per person or $1,500 for a table of 10. Dress for the event is informal and the party begins at 6 pm and concludes by 9 pm.
