Due to extensive flood damage that includes the Grand Ole Opry Entertainment Complex, the Tuesday night (May 4th) Opry performance will take place at the War Memorial Auditorium at 301 6th Ave. North in Nashville.
The entire Opry family has been shaken by the devastation of this weekend’s intense weather and resulting flooding throughout the city and surrounding areas. The Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills and the Grand Ole Opry have all been affected by Cumberland River flooding. According to Grand Ole Opry Vice President, Pete Fisher, “it is important that Nashville’s most treasured tradition continues with this week’s shows. Our hearts go out to all of those affected in the Middle Tennessee area. We look forward to coming together both as the Opry family and as a great American city just as we have every week for nearly 85 years”.
